Rui Wang received her Medical Degree from The School of Public Health at the Shandong University in Jinan, China in 2007. She subsequently had a six month period of clinical practice at the Shengli Hospital in Dongying and six months clinical practice within preventive medicine at the Centre of Disease Prevention and Control in Shandong.

The title of Rui’s undergraduate dissertation was “Hereditary structural study on the Chinese population using the gene of TH01: The application of Principal Component Analysis”. The focus of her master’s thesis was “The Ecological Study of Drug-Resistant TB - a global perspective using Structure Equation Modelling”.

In 2010 Rui joined ARC to study for her doctoral degree, under the supervision of PhD Chengxuan Qiu. Rui is working with the SNAC-K data and is particularly interested in using various statistical models to understand different factors relationship with dementia.
