Johanna Lovén has an M.Sc. in psychology from Stockholm University. Since 2007 she has been a Ph.D. student at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences, and Society at Karolinska Institutet, and a member of the psychology group at the Aging Research Center. Her thesis concerns the reasons why there are sex differences favoring women and a female own-gender bias in face recognition memory. Supervisors are Agneta Herlitz, Jenny Rehnman, Karolinska Institutet, Torun Lindholm, and Håkan Fischer, Stockholm University.
