Barbara Caracciolo has a background in both psychology (BA, MSc) and epidemiology (MSc). She specialized in aging research with a PhD on the epidemiology of cognitive impairment. Her PhD thesis was entitled "Cognitive Impairment in the nondemented elderly: occurrence, risk factors, progression". Barbara is currently employed as a post-doc researcher at the Aging Research Center and her main interest is non-dementia cognitive impairment. In particular, her aim is to evaluate the differential contribution of genetic, psychiatric, psychosocial, and somatic factors to the development and progression of objective and subjective cognitive impairment (CIND and SCI). |
